Our head chef follows nature's seasons. Whatever the garden, the meadows, the woods have to offer – whether herbs, vegetables, fruit, berries, fresh meat.
Some of our favourite dishes are also Wildschönau specialities: "Pressknödel" (fried cheese cake),
tender venison and game dishes in the hunting season, "Tiroler Gröstl", "Wiener Schnitzel", "Kaiserschmarren" – these are so popular, they need no translation and no explanation!
Who has not yet heard of or tried the Wildschönau "Krautinger" schnapps? Then you haven't lived!
The distillery rights were given to the Wildschönau as a particular gift by Empress Maria Theresia.
